Great so I'm doing a 5,000k round trip and your not on GG. Why should I bother doing the trip....might just cancel !!
Street talk has Moretti as a cooks aid in the RAAF.............peeling potatoes by the bag and scrubbing copper pots that were used on induction cookers that Greg sold the RAAF
I don't see it, even though it'd be great. https://theconversation.com/supersonic-flights-are-set-to-return-heres-how-they-can-succeed-where-concorde-failed-162268
I reckon I’ve been reading that exact story for 30 years. Never happens. However, that one does fill me with some hope. I’m forever disappointed that I live in such a boring era when it comes to air travel. Thanks, Greeny f-wits.
I think you'll find the operating costs killed it It was such a tiny aircraft whenever I saw it amongst the normal commercial airliners at Heathrow
Nope. The yanks and greenies killed it well before operating costs became involved. And I’m not talking only about Concorde. What the **** is going on when we’re still talking about Concorde 50 years - half a farking century - after it was designed? It should be like an E-type now: a quaint old thing that only proper enthusiasts give a **** about. Instead we’ve been saddled with 50 years of slower, boring as bat schitt HOS’s, worse levels of comfort and service, and virtually nothing of any interest on the horizon. Compare that to the previous 50 years. But we have mobile phones and social media…. yay
My parents did . In 1998? They bought two 1st class round the world tickets for a holiday and part of the package was London to New York Concorde , mum still talks about. Even got a clothes brush ! My sister was to busy washing the tower in Brighton...my Grandmother was a ship person often came back from the UK on a cargo ship .. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The good old days when air travel was a big deal and passengers dressed appropriately not like today where you can fly to the Gold Coast for $49 and hop on board in shorts and thongs. I still dress smartly when I fly, purely out of respect for Gary
Not me unfortunately. I have a Customer that did. Huge experience and check-in. Special travel wallet and bag etc. Must have been an amazing experience. Very envious TBH.
