Many years ago I had a pilot call MAYDAY due to the same thing! Can't remember the aircraft type, but it was a turbo prop. They made an emergency landing at Wagga.... scary stuff.
We don’t get involved anymore after we had a major incident…We had a big Aussie Captain that went back after this guy had been causing major dramas…The guy causing the dramas was a ex French Legionnaire ( Thug )…The big Aussie Captain gave him the 10000 psi finger in the chest…Well the Frenchman kicked him so hard in the nuts he had yo be stretchered off the Jumbo…He had surgery to remove his nuts from the back of his throat..After that we were never allowed to go back…
We get our share of difficult people. But there’s a big difference - ours aren’t difficult by choice. What Gary described is a disgrace, and my airline pilot mates report similar (if not so severe) events. Some people need to wake up to themselves. It’s a pity that a good old fashioned clip around the ear from authority is no longer deemed acceptable. Thanks leftys.
what I also find disgraceful is when people on planes refuse to follow instructions given by the crew. I think people forget that flying is serious business, and a bit of respect wouldn’t go astray.
A lot has to do with how "authority" behaves, I dont have the respect for cops since they did to me what they did, before that had respect for beat cops, now not so much
No benifits? Not much! https://thedriven.io/2021/08/06/my-first-electric-flight-and-why-electric-planes-will-follow-same-path-as-evs/
Speaking of electric planes but on a smaller scale, the tech with FPV and Video quality is just stunning.
Geez how Hongkong has changed…I loved Kai Tak…Did many IGS approaches in the Jumbo…They have just restored the chequer Board recently….
Awesome! My dad has been a pax on a few landings into Kai Tak on the B707 - he loved it. I paid special attention to the BOAC Comet’s pax windows - they’re the later version.
