Trust me, the 355 Challenge is a brilliant car. That is unless all you want to do is cruise to the Cafe strip and look like a goose.

If servicing such a car down here was practical, I would have my name on it.

Oh, and I'd get more garage space too :)

Servicing is exactly the same as the road car. Nothing special at all.

Apart from dunking (in warm soapy water) and washing brake callipers more regularly (no dust seals).

Same deal... Brembo race callipers on 355C. Not sure what the pistons are made of though... anyone... steel? Titanium?

My old boss in Tassie ran a Ferrari. The (ex?) owner of Hadley's pub ran several too. There are folks down there who can twirl the spanners on 'em.

NFI. Same calipers as an F40 LM, so what do those OHOS run?

I think AP's are titanium....they must be the price they charge.

You mean Roger D? Good friend of mine. How come he was your boss? Were you part timing in the pub whilst doing uni here?
He's minus the Ferraris these days but still a petrol head, he has a great Cosworth currently.

Not sure. Been a while since I saw any. Gil... you out there?

My point being that titanium brake pistons must be scrupulously clean, and done so as often as possible, where as steel pistons can take a little dirt... but not much.

Nope, I have always been in the drug trade. I worked at Sandy Bay Pharmacy for 18 mths in the mid 1980's. The boss ran a 308 GTS at the time; but he no longer owns the place (another mate now does).

I used to see the Hadley's boss running around in either a 512BB or a 308GTB as I walked to Uni. Never met her or her boyfriend; but I knew of them. I think they may have sold out a while back.

I'm pretty sure the guy at the pharmacy had a Dino. He actually ran it in Targa around 1999 with his son as navigator. Must be a thing about drug dealers and Ferraris :)

Nope, DEFINITELY a 308 GTS- I helped him buy it in the early 1990's. We also did Targa together twice, 1993 (me in my 328) and 1994 (me as his navigator in his 308). He did the Targa with his son much later as you say. His name is Tony Holmes- don't think he is in the drug trade anymore.

Yes, that's him, didn't want to name names. Not sure what's going on, haven't seen him around for a while but see his wife who works at the pharmacy across the road.

He sold out to a mate that I went to Uni with a few years back. My mate tells me that Tony does a bit of locum work around the place; but is no longer an owner. No doubt he now has a simpler and happier life!

Agree wholeheartedly! We tend to stay in batting when we could be playing out in the field.
