I felt sorry for PeePee and just wanted him to look good, for once. I wasn't lost, I had a lot of jobs for that day.
It's obviously been a while for you. Here's a hint. What do you think you might be doing, when you would have an opportunity to read that? Jeez!!!!!!!
I wanted to walk straight across to this place, but that never works since I got those holes in my feet. Image Unavailable, Please Login
And there endeth the argument about which is the top city in Australia (maybe the world?) - can you beat that view? Clear blue skies, sparkling water, heaps of greenery, hills and a to top it all, a great piece of architecture. Should have saved the trip till end of January PP, Syd for Australia Day is absolutely awesome.
If you can live in Sydney with that view, yes. It's the best in Australia, no doubt. Not the world though. But, 99.9% of Sydneysiders have to live in an overpriced dog box, 10s of kms from their work (and that view), and then spend hours every day driving to work or sitting on crap public transport. So, if you're filthy rich Sydney would be an awesome place to live. If you're not, it would suck.
Oh my, I do appreciate a well informed and considered opinion. Whilst there are parts of Sydney where I prefer not to live, there is a surprisingly large choice of areas which are quite pleasant to live in. They might look overpriced compared to Adelaide, but that is the result of decades of steady capital growth, which most people benefit from once they are in the system. And our public transport is far from crap...
Actually I have to agree with both Steve and Ian!!!! While you definitely need to be well off to really live the Sydney life, even the poor of Sydney have access to the harbour and the beaches.
Re the public transport,I am spending far too much time down there in the current and near future and have to rely upon it. I am actually thinking of buying a cheapy and leaving it at my sisters place. The round trip,by bus..on a bad day, from Lilyfield to Greenwich, can be anything up to 1 and a half hours...each way. Sort of buggers up the reason I'm there, given the amount of time I can/am allowed,to spend at Greenwich.
You could consider hiring a car Sister might not be thrilled by the idea of one of your cheapies parked outside her lovely house!
There is another reason I may/will need a car, they are moving to Singa in June and have given me some of their stuff that will need to be transported back here. There will,in time,be some other things that will also have to be transported, whether they come with me or otherwise,is to be determined. BTW,F&D have already given their blessing on the above.
