Nothing like a Black Ferrari. Nice work, Paul.
Wiring is done. All modules are hidden in the cabin, no visible wiring. I placed the coil packs on the firewall ahead of the engine right behind the passenger. They are mounted closer to the bottom so not obvious from above unless you really look. Im using the 512M wire retainers vs what the testarossa used and making my own wires with spiral core 8mm wires. The fuel rails posed some problems as did the existing fuel system. The first problem is the current fuel system had the filters on the inlet side of the pumps (not on the outlets) which can cause cavitation so Im putting two OEM bosch filters on that an injected boxer or 400i would use and putting them after the pumps which is easy. Im also putting in an inertia switch inside the passenger compartment as a safety measure in case of an accident. This leads me to the 2nd hurdle which is the compatibility of the bosch stuff to an -6 fitting. Mirror images of each other and thread complications. I finally just made my own adapters to bridge the gap from the flare -6 fitting to the bosch fuel rail that required a ball / socket arrangement. Running the hose is a cake-walk now. The fittings were a headache, I would like to plate them or make them look prettier but im happy with how im plumbing the supply and return. That would be me.... Just finishing up plug wires and the fuel lines. Configure the program to this engine and twist the key.
I figured it would/should be you. What a drive that will be once you've determined everything is okay and now it's time to test the "BadAss" in this Boxer. Try and make a video or is that obvious. Oh yeah, enjoy.
Absolutely incredible the amount of work and passion you are putting into this. You need to have at least a cell phone video of the first key turn haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No I used brass. The original banjo fittings on the CIS fuel supply lines are brazed on. Silver solder was considered but its strength concerned me. The tubes are inserted 1/4" to 3/8" inside the threaded elbows that I modified.
Silver solder can be very strong if assembled like a sweat fit. I believe the early Crosley engine blocks were furnace silver soldered before they cast them from Iron. I read a book on silver brazing assemblies that were low production.
Found the original wiring from the dinoplex so Ill take power from it and the tach wire is there as well. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Engine bay and rear lighting wiring essentially gone which is one of the advantages of a freestyle project like this. I love the clean look! Rewired the 512M plug wire retainers. Fuel system is done. Tossed the plymouth volare fuel filters and now running a pair of BBi/400i readily available filters (bothers me that the line fitting colours dont match) . Moved the pump relays and fuses inside the cabin from the engine bay area. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

you tube link Remember, first time running since 96 and it had run 3 seconds prior to me hitting record and shut it off at the end of the video. Its running rich and the exhaust is only mocked up with tack welds. https://youtu.be/3HgtG0SFqwI
Looks and sounds great! I find the best way to accomplish anything electronic or computer related especially video these days is to ask the kids. Simple for them!
