Anyone have a photo of the battery hold-down bracket? I'd like to see what it looks like before seeking a replacement. Mine's missing... Applicable to the early cars with rear-mounted batteries. Thanks!
Mine is missing too I did this check months back. Kept pics. OEM one with what looks like header wrap heat shield matterial probably why everyone removes it, its hideous. Looks like a medical cast. Probably impossible to clean too. Here is the Superformance CF one also. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm missing the cover as well, and not a fan of CF. I wish they's offer it in normal fiberglass instead. But I think I'm looking for the battery hold-down "bracket" - item #13. https://www.ricambiamerica.com/car-diagrams/ferrari/v6-v8/348-group/348-1989-1992/frame-rear-part-elements.html Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ahh I see, yes it a bracket with 2 tongs that the quick disconnect snaps into. I plan on removing them and the wiring with all new ultra high grade hi-temp coated solid copper for the whole battery, starter, alternator, ground circuit when I get done with the interior and get to the exhaust/rear refurbish parts. @Wade 62854700 is a long aluminum plate with two big flexible 'fingers' that extend upwards and grab the quick-disconnect bullet. It is what @Ferrarium posted in his (#5) photo above. The plain-jane battery hold-down for a rear battery 348 is 62573400 : https://www.ricambiamerica.com/62573400-battery-bracket.html
