Hello all. Does the battery tender hook on to the poss terminal in the engine compartment? The one that came with the car had clamps on the ends. Not the two prong plug I generally use. Thanks!

I use one off Amazon. One alligator clip goes on the positive terminal, the other on a ground (some piece of steel that looks convenient).

Do you have a CTEK tender? Normally you can buy adaptors for these from CTEK.

I'm not sure if the eyelet size is 8mm or 10mm.

I have a Cetek and bought the optional comfor connect lead with M10 eyelets.

I just put a cable tie round the air inlet pipe and then another round that and the cables to keep it handy.

Saying that though... IIRC the cigarette lighter on a 348 is live even without the ignition on so you should be able to use the cigarette lighter accessory to charge it through that - saves messing in the engine bay :)

    • CTEK quick connectors must only be used with CTEK 12V chargers up to 8A

Doing it thru the cigarette plug means you have to leave the door or window open and potentially drape the cable over the paintwork. If you do it in the engine pay the cable can pass straight to the ground.

On the up side, with the cable running through the window, at least you won't drive off forgetting to disconnect the cable :D

I bought an extension lead for mine with the easy connect plugs (almost spent as much on accessories as I did on the charger) and if they are NOT pushed all the way home so they click it has the accidential benefit that if you forget and drive off they just pull out.

    Just saying for a friend....cough ;-')

I should have been more clear. I have a 94 348 spider so the battery is hidden Image Unavailable, Please Login in the front fender. I am talking about this terminal in the engine compartment.
