I believe it has the correct Ermenegildo Zegna ignition coil as well.

Looks like the same fabric mine had in the door inserts and roof.

I wonder what the other Ser #s n the series are, an how do we find them?

Any black BBi Ive seen without the leather option has grey cloth inserts in the doors and seats. The leather option (or upgrade) gave you a leather headliner, door pockets, door pull and inserts. You could get all leather seats without the leather upgrade so everything else had cloth inserts.

Of course, your comment made me go look for that. Shoulda been wrapped in gray Zegna, but I guess Chevy Orange will have to do!

Very nice looking car overall. I had seen cloth inserts a few times, and didn't realize the option background. These cars tell interesting stories.

Wouldn't that serial number be an '83? An early '83 at that. Maybe listed mistakenly in the ad.

Even though I have never heard of a "Zegna" edition, is that a brochure that came with the car? I would be very curious to learn about that.

The Boxer looks stunning in black, this car seems to be in fair condition. Can anyone shed light on the box mounted on the rear wheel well behind the expansion tank? There seem to be a few extra wires running under the plenums, maybe something to do with that.

Looks to have the original 4 can exhaust. Seems like a fair price from what I see.

Its part of the DOT conversion and I would say its part of a thermocouple system that monitors exhaust temp at the converters in the case of an over-fuel situation where a converter can be damaged. There would be a warning light on the dash like the US spec 308's had for the very same reason.

Car could be REGISTERED as an '84 due to when the USA conversion was done and the car first registered in the US???

he should consign it to a dealer and let them get the long dollar. it would also be good for the owners as well as the dealer will create a higher comp.
