I have some timing & aux belts for my 328 that I bought in Sept 2020 (i.e. 20 months ago) but never got round to fitting & my car has hardly moved since.

I think they are in the boot of the car (either that or somewhere in my garage!)

I should really do a belt change now, any reason not to use them?

Odds are they'll be ok, but belts are cheap. Why take a chance?

I'd feel better if they had a manufacturing date not too far in the past and they were stored in a proper climate -- not too dry, not too humid.

People are so paranoid about belts on Ferraris, and it's such an important job, I think it would be tragic to use old-stock or deteriorated belts.

Thanks for the comments. I found them on the shelf in my garage in a clear ziplock bag (as they were supplied). The timing belts have a manufacturing date of week 2 of 2020.

They seem OK but have been stored one inside the other so one is a bit bent

I think I will use the V belts (the 328 AC belt is not cheap!) but pick up a couple of new timing belts on the basis that they will be on the car for 3-5 years.

If you order new ones, how are you guaranteed they haven't been sitting on their shelf longer?

Because I will pick them up from the main Maranello Spares parts warehouse (I live about 5 miles from the place) & if the dates on them are older than the ones I have then they can stay there!
