Hey, me again. Load of questions, but at least I keep progressing on the car!

Once I have the brakes all back together, I'll need an OBDII scanner to tell the ABS unit I want to bleed the system. Which one should I get? I'm willing to spend a few hundred bucks on it, but not a few thousand. I currently only work on the F355 and a (pre-OBDII) Porsche, but I may (likely will) buy another old car in the future. I have an iPhone, in case the best answer is a bluetooth/app-based scan. Thanks!

(Currently I use an Innova 1003, which I lie to and tell my car is an Alfa or Audi. It only reads emission codes. I also have some Bluetooth dongle, which I got ~7 years ago to analyze Nissan Leaf batteries with an app. Not sure how universal those dongles are.)

I looked into the thinkdiag for you and unfortunately it doesn't appear to cover abs brakes bleeding ..which would mean the launch doesn't either

Is the ABS linked into OBD-II? I have a 2.7 car so I don't know for sure. On some cars like the OBD-II Porsche 993 it is not. If that's the case with a F355, then you'll need something that replicates the factory scan tool.

You need an sd1 or 2,3
    Or the Leonardo
I had this problem on mine after a major rebuild.
Your brakes will work ok but not good until the system is bled.

once your done just take it too a dealer for them to bleed it should take them less than 1 hr as that is what it took me on my Leonardo

I had too plug in to the abs system. It can not be done through the old port because the canline does not interconnect.
Most of the computers on the 355 are separate and do not talk to each other.

I never tried this but theoretically it might work if you can start the pump on the abs and then go to each wheel but the trick would be to get the abs to open each wheels solenoid as you open the bleed screws
I think as this is what the computer asked me to do

I had assumed it was, but it looks like I may’ve been wrong.

The Leonardo plugs into the ABS directly? Am I right in thinking there’s a $5000 version that has less multi-car capability than the $20k version?

yes it plugs in directly to many things
The few things it does from the oOBD is the f1, the injectors, watching the ignition,
Clearing defaults like the cam sensor and many others I have not yet found out
    Yes it’s the Galileo
I bought mine from nick at forza he’s very good, friendly, and helpful
I also have a f1 so I wanted it for that
