Boxer front rotor backing plates?

The ones on my car are sort of an off green color....and I just locating a NOS one, and it is the same color. Is this color the worlds' longest lasting primer, or should they be a different color.

It's a trival point in the grand scheme of things, but since she's this far apart, might as well put her back together "right."
