I tested the old accumulator, and it need 40 seconds to charge the first time. After 3 breaks it need 5 seconds to charge. You can see the differents about the old and the china accu, the old has also a little drilling in the thread.
As I have remove the china accu, there are much breakoil comes out from the accumulator
Send him back now and inform you about it next time
    Thanks

    Hi Johnk,
I need an accumulator for my 328 ABS. I came to the conclusion (after researching) that the Jaguar JLM-1907 OEM (still available and looks like the same as the one offered by partsgeek (your reference above) under a different #: W0133-1599229?)...It is the most expensive choice but I want a quality part and the whole thing is a bit confusing since everybody on Ebay has a ball for sale with a story...Delco equivalent, Hydac equivalent (a bit larger volume/size), Wabco, etc.
Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jean

I can not answer from experience. But the Teves MK 2 system was used on a lot of cars. Here is a partial list.

Prices vary. You take your chances. Listed from $649 to $219.

    $219 https://www.tbscshop.com/1987-1992-thunderbird-sc-mark-vii-olds-buick-abs-new-hydac-accumulator-ball/
(If you click on Jaguar the same part is $269 :))

    $560 https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/1991/jaguar/xjs/brake/brake_accumulator.html

    $649 https://www.eastcoastreattaparts.com/products/1988-1990-brake-accumulator

I'd be inclined to go with the $560 version. Appears to be the same at the $649 unit.

    Hope this helps.

Good info. I did a lot of DD on this. A lot of stories but most of them incomplete and not transparent...Especially from the vendors...
The original parts from Ford and GM (Delco) are no longer available. The Ford accumulators were a bit bigger and the Hydac clone is that size. The Delco clones accumulators are the right size but still clones with no clear indication of provenance. Maranello Classic Parts doesn't seem to offer a replacement part. On the European side, I found that the only OEM reference part still available is the Jaguar part JLM-1907 (# of original part and almost 100% sure it is the same that I have on my car). I think that like Maranello Classic Parts for Ferrari, Jaguar also has an official supplier for vintage car parts. I think it is Genuine? (parts geek indicated manufacturer for their accumulator). So the best bet for Ferrari owners is the Jaguar part. At least you have a clear provenance and look like exact same specs.Much more expensive than unknown clones though. I agree with you that the eastcoast Reatta part is probably the same than the partsgeek Jaguar part. Eastcoast Reatta claims they have them manufactured to the Delco specs especially for the Reattas (1989-90) but I think that it is just the outside labels that are different, matching the original part on the Reattas. It is priced higher because the middleman need to make a markup. The only thing that I still have to verify is that the parts geek item is the same as the JLM-107 still available from Jaguar official parts suppliers.

    Cheers,
    Jean

I’m shopping for a spare and future use accumulator, pouring through the Jaguar threads, I’m now seeing another GM part that’s comparable.. GM 25676065 as well as available. Dimension wise, it is slightly larger than the other NLA GM part

    https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj40-xj81-25/new-cheap-brake-accumulators-158665/

Also seeing referenced a later Mercedes/Maybach part, SBC accumulator. while different and smaller in shape, also stated may be perfectly functional, and very available.

    https://www.saabcentral.com/threads/brake-accumulator-compatibility.747882/

Has anyone tried or debunked either of these parts as viable alternatives to add to the list?

I already went thru this and answered all the questions (see my post May 13,2023). Slight typo in my post, the Jaguar part # is JLM 1907 (not 107). This is an Ate accumulator 10-0514-90031, 210 Bar/0.25 L and the exact same original part that I replaced on my 328 GTB 1989 (Ferrari part (kit) listed as: 70000504).
Since GM doesn't carry the equivalent Delco Part (Buick Reatta) anymore, you can get clones or similar accumulators from unknown provenance but the Jaguar part is the way to go because it is for sure the same genuine Ate accumulator. Watch for manufacturing date stamp because these nitrogen filled accumulators deteriorate over time. My original accumulator was dated 1984 (on a 1989 produced car). The Jaguar part I bought this year was stamped 2009.

If it's a Teves system there doesn't seem to be a 28 code.

As an addition, do you know if there is a code for accumulator failure?
