Here's a thought, off of Angeles Forest Highway, it's a bit of a drive though

Though not nearly as well-known as Newcomb's, this homey restaurant, also in the San Gabriel Mountains, serves up a good, hearty breakfast I always look forward to when on a morning Angeles Crest ride. (The restaurant is on Big Pines Highway, a short and enjoyable ride off the Crest.)
The decor is rustic, the service friendly, and though the coffee is not quite up to the standards of the food, it is plentiful and served with a smile.
You'll see only a fraction of the number of motorcycles out front as at Newcomb's, but there is also less of a one-upmanship spirit here, and that makes it all the more congenial."

It's roughly where Valyermo Rd and Big Pines Hwy interesect.

The drive is wide open and it's best if you do it early...........

 

Why not Le Petit Cafe again? That was awsome last time we went!

I know that lots of people have had a busy month with monterey / Italian Concorso / etc... and many are just now getting back from the FCA event...

I was going to put together a weekend drive + tech session. We have some representatives from some major companies that may be willing to come out and do a car tech 101 session.

Thinking first weekend of september, for those that don't have major plans for labor day...

Don't know when, but I was going to host a little gathering in my theater to view the Concorso Italiano video I shot (in HDTV no less). Maybe in a couple of weeks.....Ferrari's will be required, I want my neighbors to think another drug deal is going down...

 

The Boss and I will be in Vegas for a friends Birthday.
