    Not sure I follow but the factory spec remains the same in all cases, why would it change?

    Shape of take-up ramps, designed maximum lift are a couple likely reasons that clearances are recommended to be different from the OEM cams. It should be noted that there would likely be a bit of clatter at those settings.

    its probably common knowledge but I found a volvo garage that was throwing out shims from 740 and 940 models that appear to be identical to the Dino variants. I wondered if any other cars used similar?
