Fascinating how they got the soft shadow area to read......much more sophisticated than those other Italian cars we love...........

This is an observation and a compliment, but they have the flavor of the 458 in this I believe to you eyes which was their work.
The 458 being one of the ‘prittier’ Ferrari’s of late.

Not sure where that English came from , but this was the intent:
This is an observation and a compliment, but they captured the 'flavor' of the 458 in this design, which was also one of their designs.

I like the look but it is too much of being an updated 458. Kind of a version to show Ferrari why they should have continued being the designers.

But I have a bigger issue with understanding how an all electric car needs to retain all the appearances as if it has the mid engine ICE. To me, I is as if this was designed to have the Ferrari V8 then at some point they changed paths to electric.

I was wondering the same thing. Curious as to why they believed they needed the traditional intakes if it's all electric. While I admire the look of the car, it certainly doesn't break any new ground. Still looks good though!

    New Bugatti at Geneva.
Difficult to 'read' the surfaces with black paint :(
Note the 'extension' of the wheel design onto the sidewall of the tires

Yes. Too much glare from the overhead lights. Saw something on the internet that looks similar and clearer view.

Looks like they managed to "streamline" a Veyron.

Car shown at Geneva or an earlier interration?

    https://www.topgear.com/car-news/electric/pininfarina-battista-1900bhp-hyper-ev

Would you prefer your hyper-fast pure-electric hypercar to look like a renegade from Blade Runner 2049? Pininfarina decided against it. “We wanted to keep the form and proportion of a traditional supercar,” chief designer Luca Borgogno says. “We did a lot of research, thought about how much of a spaceship it could have been, but elected to create something in line with our history, true to Pininfarina’s values. The cabin pushing forward, the long tail balancing the visual weight – it’s still the best configuration you can find. For us it was clear this was the way to go.

It takes back some of the beauty of the 1960s, the sensuality. Look at the cars in our museum upstairs: what really strikes you is the purity and beauty.”
