If you wash your own car by hand which car wash liquid and wax products do you use?
Well, you don't want to scrach it, so soft soap would be best and be sure to have a water softener installed too.
The story they tell is an ancient secret from long ago... One of using the fluids of a virgin to give a Ferrari it's sheen. So every full moon I have a half dozen overweight middle aged men, who live at home with their mom, roll their sweaty naked bodies all over the Ferrari. Talk about gloss!
To tell you the truth, *any* car wash soap is quite fine. The real trick is using the SUDS, not the soapy water. See the Concours/Detailing Tips archive from the FCA NewsBulletin via the link at www.fca-se.com
I stick with all higher end products such as... - P21S - Zymol - Crystal Guard - Klasse - Griots I agree with the above statements concerning washes, they are mostly all the same. All you want is something to build a barrier between the paint and mitt or sponge to avoid scratching. That being said, I use the Zymol Clear Auto bathe.
Zaino and Zymol work really well. I also use a micro fiber cloth to wash and dry the car. The last two car washes I have used the Mr. Clean spotless dry to rinse my car off and then I don't have to dry it. It actually works very well.
