Carbon fiber fender grilles / vents

fellas...need some assistance here. I pulled into get some gas and noticed my factory Ferrari Carbon fiber fender grille/vent was missing. All that was left was the plastic housing it bolts to....on close inspection it actually separated at the 4 mounting locations and left them attaced to the housing. I was able to pry the housing out of the fender. I now purchased an aftermarket carbon fiber grille to bolt onto the undamaged housing. My question is, when putting on an aftermarket carbon grille, do you have to take out the inner wheel well to access the housing bolts or can you assemble it all together and push into the fender and the plastic tabs on the housing will secure it to the fender?
