Change color stitching carbon steering wheel

    Hi,

    I am considering to swap the standard steering wheel of my California 2013 with a used carbon steering wheel. The stitching must be black, but the only carbon wheel i found (this part number is very hard to find) is black with red stitching.

    Is it possible to dye or color the stitching from red to black, and have it like new ?

    Yes, it’s a common change (though mostly from white to red) in the corvette world. It just requires patience and time with a dye marker.

    Mmmmm... well my personal advice (which apply to all dying scenarios), make sure it would be of a -good enough- quality that it wouldn't start breaking up after a while, leading to bad fading looks and coloring UR hands by the end of each drive.
