    First of all type of the block and type of the engine are two different things. Series production was pretty straight forward, but choosing a certain type of block did not mean you had to stick with certain type of engine specs. As a result we have 128/D engines built using left-over 128/LM blocks and a friend owns a TdF with a 128C engine built using a 128/B20 block - all of which seems to be confirmed per factory documents.
