existing rules still apply for individuals:

    Classifieds - Individuals Only
    • Non-subscribers can reply to ads and contact sellers.
    • Silver Subscribers are allowed 1 car ad per calendar year.
    • Rossa Subscribers are allowed 3 car ads per calendar year.

new rules for Classifieds - Individuals Only
    • no sponsors, dealers, brokers, or any other commercial party may list ads.
    • Sponsors & Classified Subscribed are allowed to respond to Wanted ads.
    • Silver Subscribers are allowed up to 5 parts/collectibles ads per calendar year.
    • Rossa Subscribers are allowed up to 20 parts/collectibles ads per calendar year.

    new Classifieds - Commercial rules
    • Sponsors & Classified Subscribed users allowed to post as many ads as they wish.
    • Use Contact Us to inquire about Sponsorship or Paid Subscriptions about getting a Classified Subscription.

All current commercial and dealers using a Silver or Rossa have until 05/01/2017 to utilize their old 2017 allotment. Current ads will not be deleted.

Rob - I'm a member and a sponsor. So, if I am looking to buy a part needed for one of my personal cars, where do I place the WTB add?

    Thanks.

Since we have perms set to help enforce the rules best is have a separate personal and commercial account or better yet few specific cases contact me and I can move thread into Individual. I bet you will get similar response just keeping it in commercial though, actually commercial parts might be pretty dead.

Rob - Like the new rules! Gets the classified back to a way for members to get stuff from other members vs. looking like another retail channel.

Question: Does the above observation in your post imply that the guys that were posting dozens (hundreds?) of things in the parts/collectibles that sure looked like commercial activity weren't willing to sign up to be a sponsor or "classified subscriber"?

Said differently, they were taking advantage of the members' classifieds to run a business when it was "free" (with membership) but aren't willing to pay more to continue to do it?

Rob - one suggestion: Change the names of the sections:

    Cars ----> Sponsor Cars

Parts and Collectibles -----> Sponsor Parts and Collectibles

I say this coz already someone posted in the wrong section :)

    Hi Rob,
I just subscribed to FerrariChat and want to post a "wanted" ad for a Daytona to buy for my own personal use. How do I do that?
    Thanks,
    Bob

Just to be sure I understood this correctly: is a subscription needed also for "Wanted" ads? I suspect the answer is "yes" but I thought I'd ask since WTB ads are after all a channel for sellers to... errr... sell and are perhaps both welcome and encouraged.

Subscription/Upgrade required for WTB ads, since no subscription required to view/respond ads, which attracts non subscribed buyers and sellers.

We are a dealer and do sell Ferraris from time to time. Can I still post one car per year under our Silver account? If not, what type of membership do we need? Thanks!
