Clicking sound when releasing throttle?

    Hello all,

    I am currently driving a 2011 458 Italia, owned it for 3 months.

    Recently, i hear this clicking / switch-clicking noise whenever i am releasing the throttle, especially during slow speeds. It sounds like it is coming from the center console / instrument cluster.

    Have anyone experienced this?

    I also randomly hear a loud click sound at low speed sometimes coming from under center console area. Any ideas what it is?

    I believe it is the transmission downshifting.

    If it Helps at all...I have the same noise in my 2016 488. It's at the dealer and my description is literally exactly the same. I was told it is normal.

    Of course....when it can't be explained....it's normal!

    (Have not heard it in my '14 458, maybe mine has a problem?)
