Does anyone recognise this label for the clock? Has anyone got one on their 308? Just curious, love these details. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have one for my 328. Nice touch (especially for Concorso judging). For more info search under "clock instruction tag".
Is it something you have in your file, or is it on car? Can't see how it would be visible of course. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There's a thread on it, here somewhere. That one you posted is pristine, if original. As the mania grew, repros were made...... It simply hangs on the set stem of the clock, as it would have in the showroom when new. Of the three cars I have owned, I never got the tag.. However, on one car, the original 1977 string remained, where it had been severed and the tag thrown away. So, if judging at a Concours, you should CAREFULLY remove that from the Lock Box, handle it with surgical gloves to avoid oils from your skin, hang it on the stem, and make sure with a guard no one steals it! HTH.
I have one on my Gt4 original. Its never been removed Its starting to crack and fold. But id like to have the one in the photo as a spare!
Thanks Big Tex. Yes you are right this one I found on ebay, and it is a repro. No idea what I was searching for on ebay when I saw it, as I never knew these existed. It's a nice to have thing... Many thanks. I did search the forum but nothing came up specifically. Very best wishes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't know I would leave it hanging for over 30 years...in my case I removed the string and off it went to the landfill. 30 years after the tag!!
I am not sure it is even "a point" in the FCA Judging. As it does not constitute "the car", I suppose that one, tucked into a full set of books, might add to the completeness. My luggage is what I use, for some sparkle! But as an option, I am not sure that counts "a point" either!!
I think there is even an "early" or "Late" set of instructions, as the push or pull feature changed at some point, IIRC??? This is truly arcane knowledge, trapped inside my head!!!
Good knowledge! It always surprises me how I too become obsessed with knowing all this detail stuff about these cars. I'll buy the tag, stick it in the file and as you say, in 30 years time someone will be thrilled it's there, repro or not! Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have it stored in my owners booklet and hang it out on show days. Not really worth any extra judging points but just a nice detail to have. No different from a rear seat pouch key, the original Ferrari issued key ring, the matching sales brochure or any other item that makes no difference to the car itself but just a nice little touch to add to the overall ownership experience.
Hi Rosey What is the 'rear seat pouch key'? My seats don't have pouches on the back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not for GTB but only GTS. At the back of the passenger seat of GTS, there's a pouch with a lock. Picture copied from Re-originals.

To replace the missing console compartment the GTB have because the GTS your top is using this space.
Maybe the 308GTB's didn't have it, but my 328GTB does have the lockable pouch on the back of the passenger's seat.
Here is a picture of my original clock tag from an '84QV. The grommet(both sides the same) and font appears different than picture in the original post Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is the clock tag from my March 1989 US 328 spyder. It is 80 X 42 MM. It is printed on both sides. I insisted the dealer NOT do any "dealer prep" to the car, so I also have the Golden colored plastic seat protectors with the dark brown prancing horsies on them. This is fun stuff to have. Maybe some day I will show up at a car show and be the only one to have these original "trash bag type" seal protectors. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lovely to have. I had to find a reproduction. Yours is very rare. Do you have the original pouch key too?
I got from the dealer 3 folding keys, 2 (door/gas door/console keys), one small 2 pronged key (for seat back pocket), a coded small plastic number tab, and a flat cloisonné key ring. NO pocket key ring of any kind. That must be some kind of an optional presentation type thing.
