Rob, the route varies from year to year. They alternate between northern Colorado one year and southern Colorado the next. They have drifted into Wyoming and Utah some years and there are rumors of a foray into New Mexico. There are only 8-10 resorts capable of hosting the event in the state. Couple this with the need for lunch stops every day and there are only so many roads connecting the dots. I have done the Grand thirteen times. They do a remarkable job of keeping it fresh. The route books are remarkable. If you need more details for any reason reach out to Frank Barrett at Toad Hall Motors in Boulder. After twenty years or so Frank recently retired from designing the route and writing the route book.
