chatting about values, what we (classic lamborghini fans) do not always realize is how pricey the new cars are just for comparison yesterday i realized what an Huracan STO costs new first thing: what is an huracan STO? it is NOT a limited series: they are making a TON of them it is NOT numbered it is NOT a V12 flagship it has no different engine vs a regular huracan (same 640 hp V10 engine) it is a cool edition with some nice updates on body, suspensions and handling that runs a bit better-quicker today probably already 1500 STOs built and i am sure over 2000 when all are done so STO alone in 1 or 2 years will be produced in larger number than all countach combined in almost 20 years STO base price in Italy 308k euro but the base price is just a way to make you think the car is 300k ish the real price for a STO is not 300k it is super easy to spend 40k euro for a nice livery alone add some cool decals and paint and few basic options and you are at 360k euro a car with lot of options is 390k euro plus now the aventador is at the end of its life...new flagship price will be 500k euro easy add options and you are at 550-600k euro countach prices now starts to make sense?
Add to this todays attention span is extremely short. People change in and out of what the latest “new” thing is where the Countach has captured the imagination and attention for decades
yes. just 2 years ago the performante was the cool huracan to have.. now almost forgotten but the thing i had not noticed is really how expensive the new lambos are today do not get me wrong: i drove a performante and it is already an extremely good and capable car, so i am sure the STO is an amazing machine just be prepared to spend close to 400k for one with some nice specs Image Unavailable, Please Login

Tom H's car which I've seen and posted about here prior, a NS @ $800k underscores the current market craziness in some sectors and I for one as a longtime market observer and participant (35 years) don't think that's a particularly great thing for obvious reasons.
the silver/red car on BAT brought in the mid 600 i think. and the resent high bid low mile car at 800 something
