Thank you. Yes, it’s pretty cool. I had a leather expert confirm that it is in-fact leather that was heat stamped. As you know, Lamborghini had no less than a dozen variations of these pouches in all sorts of colors and patterns. My guess is that it was fairly random as to what was included in each car.

Asking any owners of LP400’s or LP400S’s to please post some photos of original key sets, gas caps, pouches, manuals, etc. (assuming these items are original).

So after owning my car since 2013, today I realized that I have a locking petrol (gas) cap and one key. And it works !

But, I would like to get another key cut. Therefor the question is, does anyone know where I can get a FIST black plastic key blank? ref pic:

Rob - the FIST locking gas cap for the Countach came with two keys, both with black plastic heads, as you mentioned. They are extraordinarily rare to find, and the keys alone are virtually impossible. As a frame of reference, I tried to find just the keys for years and never could. That said, I was able to find a NOS cap with black keys, but I was very fortunate. So, with digging and time, there’s hope. But, FIST also issued the same cap with all metal keys (no black plastic heads), which are a bit more common to locate. Not easy, but they do surface occasionally. Here is one currently on eBay:

Not exactly the same, but I hope this helps.

Hi and thanks. I suspected as much. I'm after a key blank so I may cut it from my existing and working key. I suspect I'll be able to find a FIST compatible blank but would like the plastic original. I'll sort out a compatible blank so at least I have a spare and will add this item to my search listing.

    Cheers
    Rob

Carrying on from the Countach 25th Anniversario forum as suggested by Rossocorsa1

My original October 1989 UK spec 25th Anniversary radio. An Alpine 7385L. Still going strong in 100% working order!

I think the 7385L came out in the mid 1980's and Lamborghini were certainly still fitting them up to 1989. Notice on the instruction manual that it says "Code 02". I think this indicates that it's a later version of the 7385L which has an automatic audio interrupt facility for use if you have a car-phone fitted. Somebody who really knows Alpine radios may know better.

Incidentally, if anybody needs a radio for their Countach I have a NOS Alpine 7385L in it's original box which I would consider selling. Please message me.

Great info. Thank you for sharing. Very valuable for any 25th owner.

You are correct. Code 02 versions are essentially the same with some minor technical improvements that were included in later production runs. I’ve also seen Code 02 on some 7148L owners manuals (see attached photo).

I believe Code 02 has to do with the ability for the unit to be spliced with certain amplifiers, equalizers etc, not sure you had an interrupt facilitation in the 80s.

Of interest, UK 25ths had a number of components different to other markets, including the Alpine units used, and some interior vents etc.

Hi Joe, they did have it. I just checked the wiring diagram in the radio manual and it says "Audio Interrupt In Lead. This lead is to be connected to Cellular Phone".

The spare NOS Alpine 7385L I have is a little older and isn't a Code 02. It doesn't have this extra audio interrupt lead, so probably it's something they just started fitting in the late 80's.
I don't believe my car was ever fitted with a phone though.

That's amazing because in1988 cellular phones were only just becoming popular, the first time I had an audio interrupt in a car of mine was in the mid-90s.

Correct pouch, owners manuals and key sets belonging to this recently sold 88.5 fuel injected Quattrovalvole example. US fuel injected cars came with both the carbureted Quattrovalvole owners manual and a US supplement manual. Interesting also, the ignition key heads on most late production Quattrovalvole and 25th Anniversary models changed from Sipea oval shaped to Sipea arched shaped, as seen here.

The 25th Annivesary and it's split-rim wheels were designed with the new P Zero tire in mind, and all of them left the factory with P Zeros, meanwhile Lamborghini's own literature contains errors.

Yes. 1987 leather manuals pouches (as with all pouches during Quattrovalvole production) came in a variety of leather colors, styles and textures with the logo patch in the lower right hand corner with the words “Nuova Lamborghini” stamped on the shield. Various examples shown.
