...uuuuuh....the silver one really took me!!! Joe, do you have a pic that shows the whole car??? ...mo` silvaaaa, pleazzzzzzeee! Ciao! Walter
I have a picture somewhere in my parent house of the 1984 (maybe 1985) NY Autoshow and the Lamborghini exhibit. I was at the show for 4 hours, 3 hours and 50 minutes of it were spend drooling over the Countach... like every year I must find it, i can still remember standing next to it and thinking one day i would have it in my driveway, along with Madonna (god im old)
wonderful pictures Joe: ...the Green one reminds me of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMEJa9lGvLo a better fit for Ricardo. *folks, you've got to show your age to get this one. *sorry to side-track your thread
....black grows on you and is strangely appropriate. Folks with any sense back off a couple steps. Joe ww.lamborghiniregistry.com So far, several cars from the East Coast are committed, and 2 cars from outside the USA, including the Ex-Wolf car. Lots from the West Coast & California. Valentino Balboni who test-drove almost every single early Countach will be present, as well as someone else significant with the Countach. This will be one Countach Party.
Joe, I WILL own an early Countach before I am 40 years old. My GOD I want one soooo bad it drives me nuts. Thanks for posting those lustful pics!
My first purchase decision was between a 328 and a Countach. The 328 won for cost reasons, but the love for a Countach is still there. That will be my second purchase or a Diablo VT.
I'm lucky enough to have 2 25th anniversary one with 17000kms on it and one with 245kms on it, the driver is pearl white/red and the "new" one is red/tan. I love them, they arnt the most fun in traffic but out on open roads or when there isnt any traffic on surface streets late at night and you can open them up they are great cars. I pissed off the world when I said the Gallardo is 10% Lamborghini and then I upgraded it to 33% Lambo but the Countach is 100% Lambo, rough, pain in the ass(in a good way) crude, slightly problamitic, and need TLC. But if a car was made new like them no one would buy them so I'll just enjoy the ones that exist, i love looking at them all, and they look great in black.

I don't know if i could 'afford' to go to this event. IAperiscopa has been on and off my short list for longer than I'd like to admit. Dot- was your low mileage car with Wil de G? PS: I don't really go gaga over silver colored cars, particularly post Miura Lambos, but some of the shots of the silver car (or is it more than one car) are simply riveting.
Lamboghini sold more Anniversary models than any other of the Countach. Obviously there are many buyers who do not agree with you.
speculative 80s buyers with more money than taste.Anniversary Countachs are the worst looking countachs in many peoples eyes.
At the Reunion, there will be examples of all variants... LP400 LP400S LP500S QV Annivesario They all have their charm, with the LP400 being the purest, and the Annivesario being the most flamboyant. I think they each reflect their era very well. Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com
Just an idea at this stage, but maybe the factory will bring "number one"... working on it. Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
please make it happen, when i read the thread title my first thought was i hope they get that car at the reunion!
