You can always bring a LHD car to the UK and keep and title it there. Even 'newer' supercars that are LHD live there.

You can bring a LHD into AU. In ZA, you can only import RHD. In England, you can drive whatever you want. - In most cases, you can drive a genuine racecar on the street.

By the way, as far as Miuras and early Countachs go, the cars were often 'converted' from LHD to RHD by the works and by privateers post-production. There are some tell-tale signs that distinguish the cars built that way from those converted.

There were 2 Periscopas there, both sold as LHD chassis to a company in S.Africa who did the assembly and conversion to RHD.

Now I beleive there is just one that remains there...

This car was completely restored and will need a close inspection. I love the interior color.

You are lucky, that you were not in the quintessential Countach, with the lowbody and low roof. ...aka the mighty LP400S1 lowbody. At 5' 6" I fit in everything !!

I say drop the roof and make it even more zoooomy.

Heaven forbid! Thankfully I was not.

The carburetted QV I drove on the tour has been mechanically refurbished at the factory and overseen by Valentino Balboni so it went like one should. Pulling out and passing a row of 5 or 6 trucks before nipping back into the right lane of the two-lane incline highways became a pleasurable experience.
