I will check in my parts department and gather the parts and we shall get on it first thing in the morning. Will you be wanting the car sprayed another color whilst we are at it then? Joe www.joesackey.com
Yes, I remember, the title of the Octane magazine article was "Original & Best" and it featured both the LP400 and LP400S I had at the time. Good memory. And yes, impeccable taste. LOL. Joe www.joesackey.com
Hi Joe, Again thanks for providing such a CT education here. I want to have more knowledge about the dd's. When talking about my car the number of dd's in the US is a somewhat difficult number to know? And of those 'how' did they all do it. Some were part of a 'nastase' or 'tarisi' group (8?) originally to get in under the pretense of a 'racing program'. I hear bits and pieces, but want to really know! Thanks for any wisdom you can share on dd's. Mike S. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Did the car stay in the UK Christiann? Europe perhaps? USA? not Japan I hope? Amazing how many periscope's ended up in Japan!! Congratulations! very nice car! Ciao, Marcello
Agree on the SV Joe. not a very nice car by the way But this question is serious: Here in Holland an owner who picked up his Countach QV at the factory in I think 1986, claims it was one of the 12 or 13 special cars fitted with an extra tuned hot engine. Chassisnumber was #HLA12060. Car is still owned by him. I have heard more rumors about that batch of special Countach's. Do you know if anything is true about this? Best regards, Marcello
Yes indeed. I know specifically that you can add that one to the myth of the tooth fairy and that I can personally vouch that pigs can fly, even without "extra tuned hot engines" Joe www.joesackey.com

joe, what about the pierluigi martini car as tested by Fast Lane - didnt that have a "hot" factory engine ?
Already thought so, but nice to have a confirmation from you, thanks! Here are some pictures of the car shortly after it arrived in Holland. I'll be damned, another privateer SV ! Ciao! Marcello Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What is the deal with Sebring mirrors, on this special car from 1981 ? _____ Roy - Box and funds were sent. THANKS for all of your help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Interior is not that bad in my humble opinion. Here are some pictures of the same car after he checked his parts department and gathered the plastic parts to make it look like this. Note the modified airscope with extra nasa- duct on top. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, thank you! Here you can see it.. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The NACA ducts must connect to the air intake hoses that feed the air cleaners. There were already scoops for that inside the big square boxes that cover the radiators. Seems like rain catchers to me. I like the "strakes" ahead of the rear wheels.
