Very historical car too being the last unit built before the original Automobili Lamborghini SpA closed its doors (September 1st 1980), and being one of the ex-Monaco F1 GP pace cars... Enjoy it. See you at the Reunion. Joe
I know the suggestion is adamant for other copper cars, but let me say that I personally am not aware of any other copper LP400S. Now, Ill be delighted to have my somewhat limited knowledge enhanced... Joe
i have never seen one in person, but Chad Bolles told he owned 2 different copper S, and i think i have seen pics of a RHD copper S
I remember when Chad's X was listed on Ebay, a few years ago. At the time of the Ebay listing, I believe it was sold for below market value. I think it would have been an excellent car to purchase, based on the rare desireable color. I have heard people talk about that Cu car, even when it was not even listed forsale, or recently purchased.
The Annivesario's kinda certainly got presence even if its not beloved by all.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Alberto Silveira had deep pockets, a factory VIP freindship and a love of the rare, the three things that usually lead to the works producing a special car. "I want one like that" is what Silveira is reported to have said of Walter Wolf's 1120202 and this car (1120222) was the result. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
In Japan they are revered and appreciated. Here are a few from our JLOC freinds... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Silveira car should be repainted in the original configuration. Is the interior in the original gold configuration ?
No its been "toned down" to tan. Austin Powers would have driven it in its original gold lame' upholstery (yeahh baby!)...

Bob Wallace reported that on FIAT'S test track, this car made an electronically timed 185mph....this is the calm before the storm. He says he took a lot of risks testing for Lamborghini but also admits "This wasnt a job for sissies!". You can see from his equipment that he took testing seriously. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Yes. A very loud LP400 in bright yellow attracts the attention of law enforcement quite a distance off....
Yes, 1120148, 1120202 & 1120222 are all similar and considered prototypes for the LP400S Series. But the only production LP400S originally built by the works with Bravo wheels, standard flares and Periscopa roof was 1121030. It was also supplied with the fully adjustable rear (moody) wing mounted on wide buttresses with lynch-pin settings just like Walter Wolf's cars. Joe
In 1988 this LP400 owner had the factory build a Countach Annivesario in exactly the same livery (Arancio/Senape) as his original Periscopa, and took delivery of it directly from them. Excuse the low-res image: its all the owner could supply me with for now. Joe Image Unavailable, Please Login
