I've seen posts made by you where the information was easily verified to be incorrect; such as the Bravo wheels thread. If you did something in 1984 and still own a house in the same area, congratulations, that doesn't make one an authority on a topic, that sounds more like a Holiday Inn Express commercial. If Joe is digging for business by providing information to people who enjoy reading it or having their questions answered accurately, so be it, if not, why don't you just make a fool out of him by posting something to prove him wrong as that would easily solve the problem; I haven't seen you do that though.
Thanks for coming to my aid pdisme, and I should actaully point out again that if indeed my sole purpose of being on Ferrari Chat is "digging for business" as Fred states in yet another rather mis-guided theory of his, then I must announce that it is going very nicely, thank you ;-) Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com
Jack Wadsworth owner of Concorso Italiano, tells me today that the Countach Reunion is a good idea for the 2007 Concorso Italiano and we all anticipate a decent turnout of cars. Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com
Whatever happened to that white Countach that was in rough shape, sitting out in the open in a fenced lot somewhere here in the US? Somebody posted some pics of it a few months ago. The interior was ragged out and it was just wasting away. Did anybody save it?
Wow Joe, the two front shots are the best example showing the differance of a lowbody lp400S and the taller 5000S. That would go good in your book. If I can find a way to transport the Countach to an from Moneray at a decent rate, I'll book. I'd love to be a part of this reunion. It would also be great to meet alot of you guys. Greg
Ok, Ok, Ok!!! You have one wife who perhaps things Miura is a new Manolo Blahnik-shoe, one son who needs a GaGa-doc, an inpatient mechanic who things a Miura with 11 cylinders are a tuning version, a business with valley girlzzz, ....and Fred who is drivin`you nuts! B U T : HERE ARE HUNDRETS, ah bah...THOUSANDS OF CAR NUTS WHO ARE WAITING...........!!! 7 years of investigation????? Bush needed less time to plan the Iracq "Mission acomplished"-thing!! Ciao! Walter
To the best of my knowledge that car was purchased by a member of the 'other' Lambo forum and is awaiting restoration.
LOL. Very good summary Walter. I like it. By the way, Im still LEARNING about the Miura & Countach... Joe
Agreed Greg. Maybe you can drive the Countach down - just spread the trip out over several days and gently cruise? Joe
Wow, I had to go back to that thread and see what I posted -- it was just a photo of David Fox's old lp400. So...what was incorrect? Fred
Greg, Me too, I have a sensitive back, and Ive always felt my Countachs were for short, sweet blasts anyway! Let me know if I can help any. Very Best, Joe
.... this black/tan with black piping & carpets example (15,000km) found a new East coast home last week out of the Di Iorio California collection for a solid $147,500. The new owner reports: "Joe, just got back from about 100 mile run. INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Car is running Awesome. Love it. Thanks..." Glad I could be of service. Now drive it as the Great Engineer in the Sky intended! Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
The nice Blu Tahiti liveried LP400 is Ayad Shammas' sublime example. I know some critics complain about how raw and difficult a Countach is to pilot. But the first owner of this car should put all those critics to shame as whiny babies.... Paul Marshall was a paraplegic, but was determined to enjoy a Countach so he had hand controls specially installed so he could drive the car. Doubtless, he couldnt drive it like you and I, but, his spirit says it all and he enjoyed the car this way for many years. Joe Image Unavailable, Please Login
This 1974 Countach LP400 was hardly ever driven, accumulating just 1,800 miles in the hands of its young Royal Family owner. Then one day it succumbed to a garage fire where itwas slow-cooked and oven-roasted. The results will make this one a difficult task to restore, but all things are possible... This is the 70th Countach LP400 built and it was simply abandoned in the desert by its Sheikh owner after it refused to start. 15 years later he guided an enthusiast to the spot where he left it and its ragged remains were rescued and shipped in peices back to the factory for a complete restoration. Its Blu Notte livery is stunning and it exists today with its Miura SV owner as a stunning example of the Countach 'Periscopa'. Thanks Bruno. This early production LP400 is imaged on the old Mille Miglia route in 1974 with Doug Blain behind the wheel. Enjoy. Joe Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just to clarify: Lefferts current QV (much higher mileage), as I understand it is also for sale, but not with any connection to me. Joe www.lamborghiniregistry.com
