    Tell me about it.

"Dating back to the 1950s and '60s when the 250 Testa Rossa was blazing a trail at the famous Le Mans 24 hour race, the name was later celebrated at the launch of the new Ferrari Testarossa in 1984 at the Paris Show at Porte de Versailles"

I had no idea the two cars had any affiliation other than the red rocker covers.

You're definitely hard core man. Not selling the TR anytime soon but I've got my eye on another car. I'll talk to you about it later.

Actually, it's only in 21st place for most views in the Boxer/TR forum (three threads have over 100k views).

But it's in 4th place for most posts:

What's interesting is that the car is a left-hand drive car.

I guess $250,000 for my 91 isn't a pipedream anymore. The thing is, what can you really buy in the same league 12 cylinder for under that price anymore. It may go down a little but I think it's the new norm....just like the boxer, dino and Daytona.

Yeah that`s just what I was thinking!

For a LHD car being sold in a RHD country that sure is a lot.

As you say though - in the world of classic 12 cyl mid engine supercars, it`s still great value - and after all it`s not just any 12 cyl supercar - it`s a Testarossa! :)

It's a game changer for sure, will be interesting to see what cars come up for sale now and the corresponding asking prices.

I think auction " comps" are more of a market manipulator than IAG, ebay, midwest exotics , canepa and me put together!!!!

IAG should put their cars at auction and buy them back through a shill.
    That'll light the fuse

    Only kidding Jason!!!

I think auctions really set in stone the current pricing. Dealers can ask all they want but it doesn't mean anything until someone actually puts their "money where their mouth is"

Now, we'll see if that collector has declared that the Testarossa has arrived to other collectors. This time around it's real money moving the market as credit is still very tight. ...no more like that guy who bought a Lamborghini by maxing all his credit cards out lol

Thank you...any other sources out there? I seem to remember there were some 'current' Ferrari's making $1mil, but maybe that was the F40 or GTO...?

Looking through my 512tr history it has been worth about £100k the whole of its life (including new cost) up to recently. F40 was changing hands for £1m I believe in the boom

I was looking through my old classic car mags. 10 years ago in 2005, pristine low-mileage 512 TR's were advertised around £50K. That was the bottom of the curve I believe.

$310,000. That's the highest I've seen advertised before this current "bubble" I'm going off of my collection of old Ferrari Market Letters and DuPont Registry magazines stored away in my basement.
