    So does this mean the cars over 30 yrs old will be tested every other year or every year? Anyone know?

    I understand that cars will be tested based on standards for that year. Back then they probably used leaded gas etc., so I think that with unleaded it'd be rather easy to pass. Now, getting cars smogged will be a pain and it's probably a way for this broke state to pick up some extra $$. Hmm, now I get it ;)

    What they really need to do to clean up the air is GET RID OF DIESEL!!!!!!!! I bet if they put one truck on a rolling sniffer test it will foul the machine. Diesel fuel is SOOOOOOO dirty it's not funny. If this ever happens, it wouldn't surprise me if the air got 50% cleaner. Get rid of diesel fuel.

    actually, the new generation of diesels by Mercedes-Benz are pretty clean.
    Diesel technology has come very far in the last 10 years.

    Besides diesel engines are not gas guzzlers which is the real problems these days.

    either way i dont like this new bill, it could be dealt differently

    Well, i guess it's time to shop for some high flow cats and a diff't exhaust for the 308. Every two years now, it's gonna be fvkcing around with the Webers. What a hassle!
