Does anyone know how to remove the dashboard ? The leather looks a bit dull, and has shrinked a bit, so I would like to take the whole thing out and have it re-covered with new leather. -Anyone that has instructions / pics. ? Regards Anders [email protected]
You can usually look at someone's profile to find out what kind of car they have if they didn't think to put it into the text of their question. In this case, his is a '87 328. I think the dash on a 328 is black vinyl, not leather...
Sorry, I forgot to mention the car: 328 GTS -87 It is leather, and it needs to be replaced. Ciao, Anders
I do not know if this is true for the 328 , but i was told that on my GT 4 I had to remove the windshield. Needless to say i left alone for the time being.
That is interesting...was leather an option? All the North American 328's and 308's that I have seen have vinyl dash material.
Mine's leather, but looks very new. So, maybe it was replaced before I bought it. The dash itself, the instrument binnacle, and the lower dash around the gauges and passenger side are all leather. In fact, I can't find any vinyl in the interior.
