Ferrari by Fitzgerald, Merritt & Thompson has similar cross-sections on the inside pages of the front and back covers, although I don't recall more specific detail.

Not that I have such drawings but which DOHC are you thinking of? 290/315 or 275 4 cam?

Jeff: The 290/315 engines are not Colombo designed. They are Bellantani designed. The 4Cam engine could be considered a Colombo by a pretty good stretch of the imagination, so he must mean the 1948-49 125 DOHC Formula One engines.

IIRC, those shown are SOHC, noted as a 290 MM 1956 and a 275 GTB 1966.

That is what I was leading to; was the OP to that level of what was and wasn't Columbo.

Sorry for confusion, i meant mostly the 275 gtb/4 engines with dohc heads. I thought those had colombo block but with dohc heads?

AlpenJäger1914 - I know that’s still a single cam motor, and you are looking for a twin cam, but it had been referenced above and I didn't want you spending time looking for the book (if you don't have it) only to find that it’s a single cam. I have not come across a sectional view of a twin cam.

    Page 27 of "World Supercars 1: Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona" has a basic cross-section.

Its a stretched 365 block obviously, but the basic architecture should be the same I would think.
