I love my GT4. Once you get one sorted you should have only routine stuff (fluids, belts), but it's getting one that's sorted which is the problem. Because they don't hold value as much as the 308's you tend to find ones that have been neglected. BTW my insurance is about $300 per year with no limits on Km's but I must have another car insured and I can't drive it to work (which is okay because it can't fit a floor sander in the trunk! :) )

Hey Joel, My first ferrari was a GT4, that was about 20 years ago (I'm old enough to be your dad HaHaHa) I owned mine for 8 years did a complete suspesion resto, engine rebuild and quite a bit of tlc over those years. I can't say this enough, they are wonderful cars. If you need help in questions and knowledge on GT4s feel free to PM anytime. Regards, Vern
Oh by the way mine was fly yellow with boxer trim, blk int. with red carpets and red piping it was gorgeous IMHO.

Hey Joel, I don't know if it's rare...but that's the first time I've seen one like it. THis car looks really good in the boxer trim because the flat black paint helps blend in the 70s style bumpers (mine have been moved in 2 inches). You can see a picture of my car with the Red Bull girls in the showroom section under "lets see your ferraris with girls" about p. 29. Check it out...I'm quite proud of it. Blaine.

I'm under 30, and Hagerty took me on the GT4...under $300/yr, to boot! That said, I will go ahead and say that it sounds like TopMonkey might be a little ahead of himself. Take your time, do your research, wait until the time is absolutely right. There's no other way to do it in this game, I believe. You are exactly where I was about 1.5-2 years ago. You'll get your Ferrari - don't worry. Just be patient - it makes the reward so much sweeter in the end.

I'm certainly in no rush, since in order to get one I'd have to sell my wife's car (I would be murdered). Not only that, I want to have enough money to find one that is in decent condition and that I will be happy I bought later on. Don't want to rush in, buy the first "good deal" only to have plenty of headaches later and spend more in the long run. I'm hoping to have one by the time I'm 25. Thats just a good number to me. I don't want anyone to feel like they are wasting their time talking to me about this, it really inspires me to keep working hard and has really solidified my decision that the GT4 is the car I want. You are all really nice guys. Appreciate all the comments and advice. Means a lot to a young guy like me.

    Cheers,
    Joel

Had me puzzled for a while when I saw his GT4 auction...What is he trying to achieve? Do you think people would actually send him a downpayment?

You know, I meant to ask if anyone else thought it was a scam in my post above. It had me confused, earlier yesterday I had seen the car on ebay, with more pictures and a slightly different discription... I was wondering...
