Vettel may finish runner up in the championship, and that's not so bad.
He can have a other shot at the title next year.
Or he can overcome his 30 ponts deficit and shock us by clinching the championship in a nail-bitting final.
    Who knows?

Good post, though I disagree sort of with #3. I think he's just about the best 'tail gunner' you can get. He should have let Vettel take the lead from the start and keep the silver arrows at bay. I don't know if he's fine with being the #2, I would hope so this late in his career. The flashes of brilliance recently I do believe are because his neck is on the line. I get no team orders when both are in contention, but when one driver has no hopes of winning championship - one must then play a supporting role.

Ferrari should have stopped faffing around with Dan and just hired him and made Vettel the rear gunner for him, he's a way better driver

Sid, you and others seem to forget how many times alonso cocked up at ferrari....2010 for example, spining at the beggining of the race in australia, crashing in practice at Mónaco, let himself being overtaken by both Mclarens after Ferrari put him ahead on the pits at Montreal, etc, etc...crashing against kimi in Japan 2012...crashing alone at Spa, and so many others...people forget to quickly others mistakes......remenber how he lost the 2017 title? it was not just the team, he stuffed his car on the wall at Fuji!
They all make silly mistakes from time to time, Seb is just having a bad patch, that's all.

Castration... THAT'S A FREAKIN GOOD IDEA. AlI drivers should be castrated before entering a professional series. The benefits would be:

    # No more testosterone motivated moves on track or idiotic comments on tv
    # Everybody knows that each son is worth a few tenths
    # Only those really interested in motor racing racing would go ahead. No more playboys, egomaniacs, sons of millionaires, prima donnas or blessed illuminati.

If it’s no testosterone that you want you should stick to Formula E or some chick sport.

That’s true. But complaining that competitive, young, male racecar drivers (who are basically the same type of guys as fighter pilots) have too much testosterone could also be a problem.

    I voted no.

What Seb needs is some old school " coming together with Jesus" "rake over the coals" "in your face" talk where others can here the boss yelling from the top and bottom floor. Seb has to feel the intensity of what is expected out of him. He can either cower and walk out or take it as a challenge to himself.

So his team management skills are now the issue?? LOL.....no. Thats just a nice journalistic excuse making piece. Multiple titles, designated #1 and failing in his basic primary duty. Keep it on track to finish and then try to win. Plus a loud mouth on the radio, too often complaining needlessly.

Seb knows what works for him...start on pole and run out to a big lead. That's his modus operandi, and if he starts with someone around him, he still wants to get in front as soon as possible so that he can stretch out to a lead. That's where the red mist and mistakes happen. The thought of trailing another driver seems to push him over the edge every time, yet get him in open air and he looks like a world-beater.

He is what he has always been...remember the crash with Webber in the midst of a tight championship battle? Multi-21?

Seb gets in front on first lap, stretches lead and drives 70 laps in clean air, no traffic....this style made him the most boring racer to watch when he spent 4 years in the dominate Red Bull. Dullest 4 years of racing to watch in modern memory.

+1 and a poor show of skill. Wait he lacks skills. Vettel's lack of race craft is evident the last 2 seasons. He makes noticeable preventable, COSTLY errors, and in now a consistent fashion.

Yes. Exactly the same position that Hamilton performs best at in his Merc.
Nice pass on Hamilton without DRS though.

Personally I prefer watching Max to anything that Hamilton or Vettel do outfront.
