I'll save people the time reading the article. To save weight (and money, not mentioned in the article), McLaren uses an Open Diff with brake based torque vectoring to manage traction. https://www.carwow.co.uk/guides/glossary/what-is-torque-vectoring#

Is not difficult if you find a complete Scuderia gauges. I found one online and changed the shell with my gauges. Scud OEM gauges in storage for parts in case needed, they are the same
I sent an inquiry to DR S website and nobody contacted me the past 2 weeks.. are they still providing the kits?
Marius, you contacted once at 08/08/2023 12:23 PM EDT that you want to buy in Nov/Dec and the email reply went to you 08/10/2023 8:23 AM EDT. Have you checked your spam folder? For privacy reasons I'm not showing your email to the public that's why XXX below. You can also PM me for more info. And of course, kits are shipping constantly, but there is a wait which is not getting any shorter as the number of customers is growing faster than the the speed of ramping up the production. Plus there are many repeat customers (high end Ferrari shops typically). I'm trying to hire more people so it should improve eventually. Hope it helps. ---------- Original Message ---------- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Date: 08/10/2023 8:23 AM EDT Subject: Re: Your Ferrari inquiry at GatedConversion.com
Thanks, yes it's me BTW, as some people have been confused by the Dr thing (and there is a medical office not far from us with the same name, minus LLC, as our Dr S company name) I've renamed the company to Cambio Manuale LLC. Still using Dr S logo as it's on some of our parts, but rebranding to Cambio Manuale overall.
Did you cut your existing center console to make room for the shifter tower, and if so, what did you use , dremel ?
Ferrari used (at least) two center consoles in F430. Photos below. Top of the gear shift tower goes on the right side. If you have one like the black, the center part needs to be cut out to make a square opening. Image Unavailable, Please Login If you have one like the brown, no cutting is needed. Dremel or similar tool will work. I will let the original poster say what he used and which console/cutting he had in his particular installation.
Thanks, pretty sure I have one like the black one... Mine is with yellow stitching, so pretty hard to find... I am a bit reluctant to cut it.
If you want to maintain 100% of the original F1 parts and can not find the exact matching leather console for the converion, going with a carbon fiber center console would be the way. Carbon fiber matches everything, specially if you decide to put a few other interior carbon pieces as well.
Not completely sorry.... no Launch control button and no switches in that rear tray. No carbon fiber option inside that I know of. Unless it's a Scud, all carbon then?
As in Europe, the entire center console is available in carbon fiber or just the small insert. The small insert is not so expensive at Ferrari and can still be ordered for the manual gearbox. Perhaps this is also available in the USA?
Mine has a carbon insert and it's a U.S spec car. Or did I misunderstand and have that backwards. US does euro doesn't ?. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The console itself has nothing to do with US or Europe. They are just different versions. I wouldn't like to cut it completely in leather either.
