Ok I stand corrected, mine does NOT have the cutout, you guys are not helping :)
Consoles are already different among different USA cars, not sure about overlaps with other markets. That can be checked on line using Ferrari parts catalogues. Mario Andretti - last time I checked you could order a center console for F430 in full carbon fiber from Ferrari - you may want to check if they still have those. You also get a benefit of originality
This one has been in the for sale section https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/f430-carbon-center-console-tunnel-new.656352/
Is the difference between the carbon insert vs complete carbon because of the difference between spyders and coupes? I’m in the same boat with a yellow stitch coupe console that I don’t want to cut, but also don’t want to spend $2k on a carbon center. Freddan is awesome. I think that link is for the part below the part that needs to be cut though?
EDIT: Yes, you are right; that is the bottom part which does not need to be changed... you only need to cut the top part , the top console bit which holds the ash tray and those buttons.... This is what you need Image Unavailable, Please Login
Spider and coupe consoles are different. Spiders have more carbon (or trim if carbon option not chosen)
Safe to say that speculating only muddies the water. Let's agree to wait for actual data (if any) before we start up 10 pages of clutch cylinders and fluid type.
It happened over a month ago close two months ago maybe and the fact that no one said a word about it. I just thought I’d bring it up and see if they want to jump in and clear up the facts.
Hi Todd Could you please let us know where you heard this rumor, as I have not heard it before from my clients or anyone else, and it seems no one else has heard it. If this was the first statement of this type from you, I would assume it is a well-meaning curiosity on your part. But this is not the first time, it is a pattern. Both you and Eric have made statements putting your competition in bad light, which once confronted turned out to be baseless “assumptions/possibilities” that were implied to be facts. I understand that you are trying to establish a presence for your new kit company. But with your approach the results may be contrary to your intentions – people will simply not trust your statements about competition and will not trust your statements about your own company. You will not be taken seriously. So my well meaning advice to you is – stop doing it. Stick to the facts. Thank you.
In that case, no brainer to keep it as Ferrari themselves kept it in the manual variant.. just my opinion off topic but anyone have experience with Normal Guy Supercar's conversions?
Thanks for the DIY. I think I’m also going to keep the e-diff. Anyone with DIY experience on this, is it miserable without a lift? Or doable with jack stands? How much time spent under car and how is access?
I did it on jack stands in my single car garage... not a huge deal. Spent about 6 days all up doing it so about 50 hours. You will have times to scratch your head and wonder ; and lose skin on fingers... If I would do one again I thing I can half that time. But I like wrenching on my cars so...
Yes, multiple our Cambio Manuale customers (not just Mario) installed at home without a hoist. Takes more time than using a hoist and you must be fit enough to keep going under and over the car. All safety procedures (including proper jack stands etc) must be used of course, so it is an option only for people who are used to working on their cars. It should not be a first DIY car project
No...just regular hex sockets and metric wrenches. Mostly 10 to 15mm or 16 tops. Some acrobatics required for the clutch pedal on your back with seat outside the car. Doable if you can squeeze in there on your back....
Mario I think it would help.others to explain that you got the ECU upgraded /flashed to help smooth out the shifts That cost should be considered as well Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Keeps the RPM blimps etc in line for a manual and not a F1 Also I believe the torque curves ... I think the F1 coded ECU tries to help the F1 system but now that it is gone it doesn't help ..makes it worse Mario will explain seat of pants feel Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
