    Paul, I interpret this to mean "for me [Paul] and my usage pattern" rather than a general axiom. Also, for the bulk of usage, and users, I think the perspective is accurate. Just overfill the sump a bit and move on. For my envelope of usage, oil starvation at the track was a big issue (and led to the conversion project posted elsewhere).

    I didnt see that thread on your conversion. Did you go the factory route? I know the blocks are all cast with the cooler line bosses and so forth and I agree, if it saw track duty like yours, it would be an issue for me as well.
