Does anybody know an outfit that can pick up my moto (748 Ducati) in Michigan, get it road-ready (it has sat for 13 years) and then ship it to me in LA ?

Seems like it should not be too super hard but having no luck...bike is in the Dearborn, MI area if that matters. I have a buddy on-site to assist with the bike loading so even a So-Cal shop could execute on this if they could coordinate just getting it to their shop.

    Thanks for any help/direction.

I've used White Glove transport for bikes. they do a good job.
Once you get it to Cali, try Jon Schiereck at Beverly Hills Ducati.

I wish I could be positive. I've shipped bikes 5 times during the pandemic. Each has been less than optimum to put it mildly. I've not used WhiteGlove and don't know about them.

Be very cautious if you decide to go with UShip. It kinds of rhymes with Uber. It used to be great 5-8 years ago and now it's loaded up with angry people in trucks. You may get a good one, you may get a bad one.

The best shopping process and good pricing was HaulBikes but it takes absolutely forever to get your bike. They do have very nice truck set ups that minimize the possibility of damage.

    Good luck.

I once used Forward Air. they have containers designed specifically for motorcycles. You put the bike in the container and strap it in, the container is sealed and never opened again until its destination. I didn't hate the process, and the bike felt safe and secure. Wasn't terribly expensive, but requires you to deliver the bike to the terminal, and pickup at the terminal.

Excellent. Nice Ducati. PHaul bikes has a great system. A quick tip. It comes on a 53’ trailer with a sleeper cab. Make sure they can get it in and out.

They put about 30 bikes on a trailer. All tied to their own skid.
