Äääääh, mhmmmm REUNITE.....what happened, with whom, why...have I lost something? The "Flying Dutchmans" are our great & fantastic neighbors! Wolfarossa
eeh...that's why...eh...I said never mind so...please ignore this thread...it was nothing...to much booze in my body when I started it
How many dutchies are here anyway? I believe there are quite a few... All unite here and maybe we can get together sometime. And Forzarossa: Don't drink to much, it's bad for the forum
Rijk that's great. Seeing your name I always thought you had to be dutch or at least your ancestors. And now I read you are I believe we have around 10 or more "dutchies" around here, not bad for a country this small. Almost more then all those bonker germans we got here
Here is another one with wooden shoes, living in a windmill and sticking my finger in a dyk ;-) Or maybe the more modern version: another one which has a joint for breakfast and visits the legal red light district once a month :-0 Just FYI none of the cliches is true !! Rotterdam is the city I am from Niels
Trevi, stay cooooooooooool, a "Käseroller" can never ever beat a real bonker;-)))))) Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Hi Bert, great to CU here again on the new board. Whats up with your GTO project? Any news on it? Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
GTO project going steady but slow. I planned to paint it before winter but didn't succeed, put some temporary red paint on it with a rollerbrush to see how it looks like. Will do some regular maintenance this winter like cambelts and waterpump, adjusting the inner wings to the new outer wings, rustproofing, build new rear bumper (2 bumperrettes), more sanding the edges, doorposts, shutlines etc., and the paint it when the temparture rises again. Hope to be on the road in spring again. With the 5 Euro paintjob it looks promising!
Wow, its in progress!!! The conour looks beautiful and on the way to a GTO;-) Is the engine still out? On the pic, it looks like there is no engine mounted; `cause of the high end tail....looks empty and the wheels have too muchspace in the fenders. Wolfarossa
No, engine was never out. Only the missing exhaust and rear bumper (heavy US one) make it lighter, but I compensated that by laying heavy bricks and an ambush in the trunk (and hurt my back). This will be the final ride height, it could be lower because the wheel arches give full clearance to the wheels but I like this look. A real GTO is also not that low either. Will put more pictures on my site www.ferrari308.tk next week, as I do a quick install of the front bumper and 4 high beams below it, to give it a more finished look and drool over it and boost my motivation! Around christmas 3 weeks holiday, not going anywhere, only visiting some bars and my parents, were the car is!
Hi, here is another dutchie too. I am from the same place as Bert is (Roermond). I think maybe I will come around one time to see your 308gto project. Ciao, Roel
Here's another one! Nice 308 there Bert! Would be great to meet up sometime with the whole Dutch Fchat gang
Another one then. Living in Toronto since 1958 but somehow I managed to keep the language alive enough to understand things. But I speak Dutch with a Canadian accent now.
Looks like we can create a seperate Nederland part then let's ask Rob No, off course not, just kidding But it's great to see a lot of dutch joining, from all over the world. If you can all join the European meeting, that would be great. The plans are now there, and Trevi is trying to organize everything. Just see the tread : http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2000 Bart
So, why not reunite on the 6th of December at the Ferrari show at the Gallery in Brummen. I will be there. Rijk
Rijk, that's a very good idea! I'll be there too! What time shall we meet (for example in front of 'The Gallery' or when it's too cold inside)...
I already got a full agenda on the 6th of december and it's to far away to drop by. Be sure to make lots of pictures, so I got the feeling I'm there aswell Have fun on the 6th and maybe until the next meeting. Bart
Bert, your car has a beautiful line! Please keep us updated on progress through the winter. Cheers, MARK
