    Greetings:

I'm trying to replace the engine cover lift struts on an 86 TR, but importec's ferrari section is offline. What is the function of the wires attached to the struts? The lift itself is printed: Elektro-lift by Stabilus, and is followed by a series of numbers. The front hood strut is easily found at Sodacoms, amoung others, but not the rear ones...

    Thanks!

Gabriel - I replaced mine with Ferrari parts. I believe the electrical connection is to provide a ground to the deck lid, which carries the center brake light.
