Timevalve Exhaust in Melbourne, FL can make you an exact duplicate of your exhaust in stainless steel. The do outstanding work. I had them make a copy of my ANSA quad-tip exhaust on my 1967 Maserati Ghibli last year. I'm delighted with the results and they only charged me about $1800 total with shipping! I couldn't believe it!

I, too, would steer clear of Stebro, I've heard too many bad stories.

    Timevalve phone: (800)243-1170

    Good luck,

    David

Show him the link to the exhaust you had made. I thought it looked authentic and great.

I had a very good purchase from Stebro in 2009.

I made them a "best offer" from ebay for an exhaust for my Urraco P-250........it was a cheap offer, $1200. When it arrived, it did not fit, maybe for a P-300/Jalpa.
They paid shipping back. We worked together to create a "race" exhaust.
Fits good, sound better than anything I've heard on an Urraco.

Hey Gary, Stebro should be fine a they're close by. Just tell them you will pay them in full when you go in person to pick them up. If they ask for payment (or even a deposit) prior to pick up, just refuse.

    Espada Gods;
found the report below on "lambo talk "which is one of MANY bad experiences with Stebro in Canada . there seems to be a pattern of him asking for peoples original exhaust and not giving it back.

back after Real bad deal with Stebro exhaust !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided to change the exhaust on my Countach and checked out a few. I ended up buying one from Stebro. I spoke to Dan Petschinig at Stebro and he seemed very accomodating. He asked if I would send him my original exhaust system to use as a model to produce an exact fit. He would reimburse me for the shipping costs and return the exhaust system to me. So I did this, and several weeks later, I received a new exhaust system that was not made exactly as it was pictured. I called Dan and he said no problem, He had another customer that needed that exhaust system for his car. Dan asked if I would send that system to his other customer and he would again reimburse me for the shipping costs. So I did that. I spoke with Dan about the new revised system that he would make and several weeks later, I received the second exhaust system. It was again wrong. He made it in 2 pieces instead of 1 piece and forgot to weld in the bungs for the ECU sensors. I called him and he said no problem, send it back and we will take care of it, including shipping costs. So I did that. I sent it back and several weeks later I received the exhaust system back and it was correct. It was made in 1 piece and had the bungs welded in to receive the probes for the ecu's. I installed the system and it fits very well. No complaints about the exhaust system. The problem as you might have guessed is that Dan Petschinig from Stebro promised me multiple times on the phone and through e-mail that they would send back my original exhaust system and reimburse me the shipping costs but they never did. I have been lied to bluntly, over the phone and through e-mail. I have been after them for 2 years and now they don't even reply to e-mails any more. I thought that Stebro was an upstanding company but I am wrong. I would never do business with them again and as far as I can tell, they don't want me either. If anyone decides to do business with Stebro, I would not suggest it, They did not keep their end of the bargain and I have nothing good to say about their business practices. I am in the US and Stebro is in Canada, so the law gets tricky and expensive. I have not pursued it any farther but decided to expose this injustice.

This is not an uncommon story. It happened in the Maserati world as well. I used to know Dan's brother Andy, a very nice guy, as he used to attend Pocono every year. He got married and moved back to Europe. I was asked to supply my Bora's exhaust so that they could copy it. I declined. But someone else did take them up on the offer and it ended up in a huge lawsuit for the same reasons. I was asked to testify and I declined that as well.

    Dan has a rep.

That being said ... my experience is that all exhaust systems require some fitment to be prepared for that. The Espada at the rear is kind of a pain because of all the angles, getting the tips to align properly and having the exhaust hangers work. My originals had their mounts whacked like hell so that they would align and so when I put new ANSA tips on I made an alignment jig (I used that 1/4" fan-fold Styrofoam insulation used for foundations Home Depot) for the tips which sat on the bumper and had them welded with the exhaust on the car.

Then I had the exhaust media blasted and painted the black wrinkle on.

    Worked like a charm.

I also sent my original Urraco exhaust to Dan. I did not receive back.......but did not want it back nor did I expect it back.
Why would you sent an exhaust to him.......because it was in bad shape, right?
That's why I sent it to him, it was rusted and many pin holes in it. Useless. I am sure it fell apart while they were using it lol

How about if what they sent back was quite a mess to be made correct?
You might want to start over with someone else.

Thanks Peter. I met Jr online when researching 1120004. Apparently he went to look at the car in the early 80's at Bob Rusie's place on Long Island, after all the Wallace work.

It was for sale and Rusie kept all his cars in a sort of hangar with armed guards posted. There was a "cartel" feel about the place if you know what I mean.

Art Jr promised me a copy of a VHS tape of the car driving around New York back in the day but I haven't seen it yet.

Very interesting story if true. :)

    Stroll, very Stroll.

Hard to know the exact bubble peak Gary but if you don't mind not having your car for a year or so you could unload it for perhaps a quarter mil and buy it back for way less or do another later on. I saw it happen back in late 80's to 90s.

He's a huge car guy so it's not just unwarranted investment money. I guess he really wanted that car and money was no object.

Yep, this I think was the highest ever paid price of F1 ever.
This makes me wonder; if normal F1 will be something near 10 million $, how about 5 sold LM:'s would do then... + the unsold XP1 LM prototype which is still owned by McLaren.
This years Gevene Motor Show, McLaren said carefully, that LM's value would be something around 10 million, but seems it's lost of more.....

Anyway, that 27 million $ Ferrari is something insane. I respect the cars history of course, but 27 million.... But Simon Kindston told recently some UK classic car magazine, that 250GTO's would easily go around 30-40 million British £ if every details are correct and well known by the collectors.

This world is grazy what comes to the cars...

The highest Miura has been I think the that yellow protype SV, paid 1,1 million USD?

Anyway; here's some close story about that record Ferrari.
