I will eventually need a wood wheel for my Jarama GT. Did they come with the shallow or deep wheel? Square or round hole?
Peter, i think yes...but too many things came and went ...so i am not 100% sure a nice original wood wheel
There is a replica hexagonitis style wheel on offer here... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/other-cars-parts-collectibles-misc/419374-bertone-hexagonal-style-steering-wheel.html
Vin number is 7779 not 6857 as reported in the listing. Lamborghini Other Red | eBay Guesses on the sales price? And look at this door panel with an integrated speaker. But the rear has no grills at all? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
And one can see the two different colors of red leather where they added new leather and mixed it with older leather, especially on the rear seat bottoms, and the door arm rests.........I agree, bad retrim, and definitely not original.
But the door panels (sans arm rests) and rear side panels look like original condition leather as do the rear seat backs. Perforations on the new stuff is clearly wrong. A decent dye job on the old leather to match if that's still possible new would help greatly. That engine compartment looks like King Tut was the last person to work on anything. But ... it's probably all there. I remember the car John Harden started out with. It ended up being terrific. It was much much better than this , very original but he ended up going all though it anyway so this could probably end up just as nice. Those different door panels are not something I've ever seen and yet they look factory. Anyone?
Also the rear lights (US style) are unusual. These can be on later cars (chassis numbers 8400 and above). The other "early S2" have the pentagon style rear lights.
Man, somebody had to beg the seller of this Espada, under questions and answers on Ebay listing, not to sell the car under 100s of thousands of dollars. cmon man. Let the market do it's thing… We know… you have an Espada so think it's the greatest car.
those wheels are soooo rad though. I guess that's a series 2 car. I'm new to Lambo and 42 years old so this car is 1 year older than me. I TOTally dig this movie of the Espada though!!! I might just need to get Countach or Diablo based on reliability although I think the Espada is prettier. Clearly irrationality has entered the fray? The QA on the listing as well is ... what would you guys call that? When did Countachs get so "reliable"? Maybe the 25th?
Fricking thing's up over 60k now. Wow. To think 2 perfect cars sold a couple years ago for 40k and 60k.
It's reached my guesstimate and is holding for the moment. That one looks real. Not too sure about all those low volume folks though.
here are the pics of the original wood steering wheel i think it was correct for S1-S2 espada but also for some jarama islero...is it correct?? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree with your guesstimate. I would think that anything less than that condition would be a larger drop in value. That is thinking of motor work, interior. Just my thought.
We may both be in for quite a surprise though. It does look pretty complete as a candidate for a complete restoration.
If that motor runs well, could be just a nice driver. If I bought it, I'd bum around in it as is...after taking care of a few things. Maybe as I went along.
That looks correct to me and I find it to be the best looking of the lot but the deeper dish wood rimmed one might be the most ergonomic? I've not driven a deep dish Espada ... LOL. (obscure American pizza reference).
LOL BIG american pizza ... we called them "tirata" here in Italy! yes, correct original one in great shape
