I was watching an Episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 and they were working their magic on a 1978 stinker called "Laserblast". During one scene, they had an Espada. IMCDb.org: 1972 Lamborghini Espada Series II in "Laserblast, 1978" Mike
Yesterday, I went in France with a new LCB member "to take delivery" of this S3 #9030, last year I've inspected it, a very good deal with a recent engine rebuilt ! One more to cross the border... I think I understand the recent high sales prices of Espadas last year. 1971 Alfa Romeo Montreal | Gooding & Company These were $25K-$35K tops cars a short while ago. It's not a V12 and it's now where near as nice a car inside as an Espada. It does share one big thing with Espadas, either you really like them or you don't. Buyers have gone nuts. For this particular guy he's finally going to get his money back out of the car. I suspect he'll be able to buy it back some day for 1/3 of that. Look at some of the other sales results from that auction. It's across the board.
Looks like the white ebay Espada sold for 79k But you have to look at this Q&A. BTW I messaged him about the backs of the backs seat being OEM. Q: HI, according to two very well known Lambo owners with a Lambo club the interior is NOT original at all; can you verify that it is if possible? thanks, Dr. Max Katz, Atlanta A: Who are these people ? The interior is exactly as it left Lamborghini .the car is in great shape .Good luck Robert Muis
Yeah, who are these people Peter? Note that h****i(325) was there for every auction and even exceeded the actual winning bid of this auction in earlier ones ... I guess he screwed up this time.
Found by Chance in a ILOC Magazine from 1982: Lamborghini Espada 1972, Geneva Show Car, VIP interior, Serial Number 8654, metallic Brown, 32k miles for $26'500 Paul Spain, Dallas, TX
Just read through entire thread Really made me wish I'd bought one of the few I looked at a few years back (a fair few yrs in fact) before the prices went up in the UK Thing is Peter times change, prices move on and it's been 3 yrs I know you must be gutted you missed them/didnt want them at the time but you do seem to have a real issue about these 2 cars. (Sorry man as I said i just read through the whole thread from start to finish in last day or so and have noticed you bring this up time and again) I looked at a few Espadas 10 yrs or so ago but didnt have the courage to pull the trigger as they were all lower end of the market (all runners though with mot etc)
It does seem as though some rather ordinary and unchanged cars have jumped substantially recently for no particular reason except greed.
Nick, what were my issues? My memory sucks, which 2 cars? The recent white one, yes...because lots of suspicious things going on. I missed the boat on a few over the years. Some are out of my range but I do have a plan to get one but it will take some time and work....and I am not sure I can make it happen BUT isn't that the fun of it?
this is kinda funny !! I was picking up a lion award at Inn at St Johns last summer . Gary Espada 8394
Hey Gary, last time I checked in with you you were still interested in gettin' laid right? I don't remember any interest inblo though. Getting blown, yeah probably. So WTF is this guy yammering about? He makes it sound like vintage Lamborghini owners are a bunch of castrated geezers. That's just nuts ... That Aventador looked very nice as well. BTW, you're representin' the breed well my friend.
yes to my knowledge only the rolling chassis is kept, however they may have kept the body for other another use. 8888# was my first Lamborghini and was so pleased to have sold it back the Family that created these amazing cars.
its one the one that holds very special memories for me. a second Espada followed then 2 CT's sadly wish I still had my S111 Espada such a great usable 4 seater
Marak I paid you via paypal on Tuesday the 11th for these rubber mats and so far I have not heard a peep?? does anyone on here know Marak ? Gary Espada 8394
