http://www.thebestemployee.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137582530&postcount=63 So the mystery of the blue metalflake and shag carpet Espada is solved? http://www.thebestemployee.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138606230&postcount=6083
The key thing added here by Gary is that the paint company was located in Massachusetts. That makes perfect sense since we already knew that the original purchaser of the car, who lived there, specified the shag carpet and supplied the paint. I'm guessing he supplied the carpet as well. Is it possible that once Lamborghini saw this paint on this Espada that they then chose it for the roadster? Bob S.
It looks a lot like a color I've seen on a 400i here locally. That's a very nice colour. I have one in green as well but in Verde Aqua Here's a couple of other places to try for your answer. Lamborghiniregisitry dot com The VLG group over on Yahoo groups. Lot's of vintage Lambo owners over there and a very brooad technical support capability. Bob S.
Bonjour à la Provence! Looks original, late S2 style. Philippe Muratori S2 7987 www.lamborghinimiura.com

Looked interesting, any idea what a "DEA/FBI former get-away car" is? Its sad to see one of these in such poor condition. The worst part is I don't hate the white/red/gold wheels look on this car.
Hé Cousin... on s'est raté de peu...last week I passed through Aix en Provence... Anyway, would be nice to have you in Lambo family...keep us inform about your eventual purchase ! Olivier www.jaramaregistry.com www.lamborghiniclubbelgium.com
That's probably going to be a very expensive car to bring back but I hope someone does. A seat is missing? Arghhh. Drug Enforcement Agency etc. As for the Get Away part, I dunno, maybe it was a siezure car? These and Ferrari 400s seem to show up this way often probably more so with the Espadas. Bob S.
The name of the color I asked for is : "Linden Green". I've gone and seeb the car. Really good mecchanically. A good job to be done on the leather and a pintwork too. 25.000 . Anybody knows where finding new carpets ? New windows seals / rubber ? ----> Olivier : now, you do know that there's a stay for all of those Passionates who come in the South of France !
Pascal, One of my LCB member has all these parts in stock...he dismantled a SII in order to finish his wonderfull SIII. So contact me directly in french => [email protected] Ciao, Olivier
Thanx Olivier ! I know about an S.III for @13.000 , with low mileage, superb interior. Not running for 20 years.
And also other Lamborghinis.I had a "Vacuum Impregnering" done on my stubborn cylinder head that was not 100% tight, after have had it under pressure test, and welding a crack.I got his tip,and sent it to the Vacuum Sealing company-and it worked just fine! This is a great method that they do,spray the sealer on,then in to the owen.It can be done several times.Fantastic.Also my mechanic was surprised that it worked so well. Now is it like New and 100% tight. Patrik
Patrik, Is the yellow one yours ? Nice but I don't want to put so much on an Espada. A little bit less and I can transfer the money immediately !
Take a look at this site: www.lamborghiniespada.ch Pretty funny intro! Philippe S2 7987 www.lamborghinimiura.com
Yepp! The Yellow one is mine.Less then what??It all depends what you are paying for,A little bit more and you have a Espada you canenjoy. A little bit less and car that just stands at the workshop, while you search for parts and get bills from the worskhop. What you dont pay when you buy the car,you end up paying later. If you buy a car with issues ,and the Espada is cheap, for let say 15-20.000 Euros, and then you have to fix the Engine, gearbox, suspension etc-rust maybe-Than you have to fork out a fortune before it runs,or restore it yourself and drive it when you are 65. Its just as expensive to with parts and Labour on a Espada as an Miura,or GT 400.If you arent a skilled enough to do some jobs yourself. A total Motor restauration here in Sweden would set you back 40-50.000 Euros.A total renovation about 150.000-200.000 Euros. So i think My humble Price on 41.995 Euros on a Car that was Factory Restored for 100.000 Euros is a bargain! I think i am stupid to sell it,but i need to get cash back to my company. Also, wont go down one cent on this price.I have 2 buyers that wants to see it when im finally ready with the Mounting of the Engine. It took some time to get the Cylinder head ready.A lot of work.
