Attached another picture of the car was at the Brussels Classic Show end of 2015. Is there any story behind the "horns" on the front bumper? I've never seen this on another Espada although I remember an Islero with a similar feature. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lots of cars of differing marques had these back then. Perhaps it was a non factory add on accessory from that time period?
Raymond, we have 8654. Do you have that ILOC magazine? Anyway you could email an image of the article? Rob
Hello, I dig out this topic cause I've contacted Mr Bruno Paratelli, and he said he cannot make the right skin if he has not the seats. However, the seats are with the car, in the USA... Any idea ? Or any other mean in getting the typical Espada shaped leather ? Thx.
Gary and I have both gone through this now. Gary went with the guy in Italy and it was very expensive. That guy also does the entire seat face out of a single piece of leather instead of stiching stips together. Due to the geometry of the situation that necessarily puts errors into how the seat looks. Look at your original seat faces and you'll notice the drift. The originals look like crap on the front and the perfs on the back look scattered as well as well. The seat faces should be assembled with stips of leather and not as originally done if you want it to look right There is a company here that does Miura, Espada & Countach factory correct perforations on strips of leather for around $12 a strip. Your interior shop can send them to them and you need to supply a few extras because sometimes the leather is too soft and perforations don't come out right. They were working on a computerized punch for the seat backs but I ran out of time so I don't know if they've figured that out. That's how Jay Leno got his seats done except that he went with no perfs on the back as did I. Putt Georgi Convertible Tops and Convertible Top Parts Tell him I sent you there. Bob S.
I have a question for the restoration of my Espada differential gear. Are you using an update to substitute the original seal ring (left in the picture) Any input is highly appreciated. Dani Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love the Espada images, spendt good part of Last Friday on the water, with a French client, (testing his new boat 56 feet quad engines, wich is getting shipped to Nice in a Russian cargo plane Antonopov, )anyway, he owns Bertone, got some interesting hints regarding new Lambo models poss beeing re introduced, fun stuff, very interesting power combos , all good stuff for us Lambo guys.
Sure if you like. I can get him in touch with Putt, an odd name and I never got the story behind it be there is one. Is the car being worked on here in the USA?
Robert Huber, who is on here from time to time, can probably help you out with this. https://www.facebook.com/people/Robert-Huber/100009522412067 He and another friend Laust have rebuilt several Espada differentials and have figured out a solution for a factory assembled flaw found in at least some of them. Get in touch with him. Bob S.
Yes, the car has started its full resto in TX. It's special in the way that it's got Espada seats pattern, and it's not a Lambo...
Nope Akka Tecnologies 13000 world wide employees Ricci,my client owns it with his Brother check out Vimeo ,Bertone Akka , very cool, they are really promoting the old famous brand,
thank you, I missed that... here is the link => https://www.akka-technologies.com/en/newsroom/italian-touch-of-bertone-automobile-design-of-akka-technologies
So it's not a Lamborghini and thus not an Espada either but it has the same seat perforation pattern. What sort of car is it?
