Excellent! I wish you to enjoy it to the fullest! Even though it may be a bit less reactive than the Jarama, I always felt it is a wolf in sheep's clothing as you can also drive it in a very sporty manner on a twisty road. Unlike many GTs.
Hi Folks, Finally, here is the communication from the factory regarding the official Espada & Islero Giro 50... The Italian tour will lead you in Umbria over 700 km from 7th to 11th September. Hope to see you there ! Olivier – LCB Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is/was the Espada the lowest height production 4 seater car to exist? At about 1185 mm (46.7 in), it has to be one of the lowest!
This is a long shot but would anyone know the whereabouts of a red series 2 1/2 espada that was sold to a guy in port Moresby PNG, back in the late seventies. I'll try to dig up some photos. Car was owned by my father in Bougainville from about 1976 ish. I also have a copy of a top end rebuild manual from Lolita if anyone is chasing it.
Hi Luis, I'll scan it when I get a bit of time. the main interest in the old car was just to see if it was still around as it would likely have been the only Lambo in PNG at the time. I'll try and track down the serial number.
Hi Folks, here is the link for the official info from the factory regarding the Giro 50 Espada... http://o.contactlab.it/ov/2004396/2232/nefBgq%2FRb7tpUGkLnNmaWoIdS03svvRhM6JPOKOVQIlaKHBoE8gF9hbpq0aTO7fe
I have found that the manual I have is called, Technical Characteristics, General Instructions for Maintenance and Assembly Instructions for 400Gt Espada I'm not au fait with Espada serial numbers but the engine number was 40844 built 1/3/73, some one may be a member of the Lamborghini registry and could have a look. Was Red RHD manual.
Long time I do not participate. Every time I think: "I should sell the car" , then I go for a ride and the ideas goes away... Just painted the hood. Isn't it huge? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
One question regarding my wheels: they are painted silver on the outside but the inside is like this, I remember the car with the outer part of wheel gold as well: Do you think if I take off the silver paint the gold color will show? Are they painted gold or is the materials color like that?
Hey everyone. Need a little help. I'm in the middle of a complete restoration of my 74 vin 9234. We are rebuilding the transmission but the 2nd gear looks to be needing replacement. Does anyone have any ideas where to go and get something like this? I have a call into to Bill with GT Car Parts..
8732 ~ 40844 ~ Metallic Grey Black & Maroon S2. Power steering, bolt on wheels. Sold at Sydney International Motor Show Auction, Sydney Australia, 24 Oct 1999.
Thanks Raymond, that's interesting the engine must have come out of the original car. the original car was late series two red, black leather, manual and later wheels.

That second one has quite the gas tank arrangement! It's not a series 1. Both have incorrectly redone seats. Believe me I do empathize but as is this is a mess.
