    Hello Oliver

    My car is also completelly original, delivered by Foitek in 1974. In Sweden since 1981. Not as nice enginebay as yours.

    Our cars must have been very close to each other during manufacturing

    Drive safely !

    Espada European market report before Essen Technico Classica :

    1. SOLD => "Bianco" Espada S3 from Lyon #9024 for 42.000 €.

    2. SOLD => "Verde Carrabo" S3 at Artcurial Auction Retromobile #9022 for 71.000 €.

    3. SOLD => "marrone" S3 #9094 belonging to a LCF member for 34.000 € in need of a new engine.

    4. SOLD => S3 "Arancio" #9118 offered by Holmes in Germany for 55.000 €.

    5. SOLD => S3 "verde" ex-des Châteaux du Sud ouest and -ex Friso Peeters en NL, 3rd sale in a short time, for 50.000 €.

    6. Last tuesday, S3 yellow #9168, bought by LCB new member, for a little more than 50.000 €

    My conclusion is : "hurry up" a cheap Espada in EEC will no longer be available !

    YES it is, as #9022 is a restoration project, with running engine but in need of rebuilt.

    But NOT for an awesome original car... as #7195 went already for 75.000 € 1 year ago...

    Yeah, but what about whats-his-name that sold the green one for 40k that was in pristine condition. Was on ebay several times for 60-70, then finally with best offer.....and 40k was the best offer. Stunned us.

    "He" was in need of cash immediately for personnal reasons and I'm sad for him it went for so low figures as his Espada deserves a minimum of $ 60.000, but it's life !

    No, I don't believe he needed cash in a hurry. Yes, he wanted money but it was not a desperation sale.
    When we pm'd, he had advertised it on ebay several times over a few months. That is when he realized that no one was willing to pay 60kUS or even 50kUS. 40k was all it was worth because it is only worth what someone is willing to pay. A few months is not a hurry.
    PLUS keep in mind, this sale happened in the beginning of this depression. Few were even thinking about buying a "toy".
    Plus he did not have the far reaching connections/ability as someone like Roy or other broker/dealer.

    Plus a strange badge (repro?) on the side. I can remember this shape, I wonder if I saw it on the same car.
