I did rebuild mine with Truechoice: http://www.truechoicekoniracingservices.com/ See earlier in this thread. Philippe S2 7987
They've done at least one other vintage Lambo that I know of. Leaving the springs alone but adding a spacer to raise the ride height a bit, which will also effectively raise the spring rate.
Well at least you wouldn't have to deal with those arcane perforations in the seat facings ... LOL. Exactly matching the fabric might be just as much fun though. I see yet another location for the odometer reset button. Where to place this control must have been a totally random process?
Yeah, Italian that's it! LOL. Probably either BL or AL That's Before Lunch or After Lunch (with Lambrusco) ... Mine's in the leather below that spot and there's nothing USA oriented on my car. Not even the radio.
Another verde pallido, nice. Strange, it's a later S2 but has the early turn signal/horn stalk. Radio hole appears to have been blanked off. I'm guessing it's been repainted as the Espada badges are on backwards (as usual).
http://www.heritageclassics.com/inventory/detail/835-lamborghini-espada-series-iii.html I will be out in LA this week and am planning to stop by to take a look at it. Kirk
Kirk, please ask them where that tangerine colored S1 Espada went they had on ebay earlier last year. Wanted it, but timing was off. Thanks
"For sheer good looks the Lamborghini Espada is as handsome as they come." High praise indeed! But then they follow it with a dowdy looking dog of a car - Rover 3.5 Which they refer to as "Just as good looking in an English more dignified sort of way". Right ... I don't know that I qualify as an expert but I believe the answer is no. Those torturous window mechanisms are deep in the DNA of the Espada. Maybe a prototype/early one but I've not seen it?
Guys n Gals We have just finished our restoration at least I thought so, and it has been pointed out that we do not have the rubber surround on the bonnet badge which was only ever on the espada. Anyone ever seen one or know where I can get one if it is needed as I am hoping to enter a few shows and would hate to lose marks because of the badge see below: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I made mine out of steel and powder coated black semigloss . No one (other than the entire world as of this writing ) would know the difference. Make the three holes for the badge slightly larger so this new base can move a bit once installed for proper alignment around allowing all edges to look equal thickness. What i would love to know is why was just the Espada so equipped? Gary 8394
You think they'll even notice it with that unique green marble paint job? PICTURES WE NEED TO SEE PICTURES.
I searched in vain for one in the last decade. I'm afraid that trim part is now in the u-make-it. Category. Just my luck, someone will come along in a few threads with a dozen of them NOS, for seven bucks, free shipping....................
As the car is not here at the moment, I couldnt get a close up of the badge as it is now but this is her making her debut after 30 years off the road, the first as she left the safe haven of the workshop the other 3 at LCUK's car of the year 2011.
